Hap,

If I understand all this correctly; "VALVOLINE VR1" has all or most of the properties needed for our "Street" Engines. Then why would someone want to buy "ZDDP" as an additive?

Seems to be an aspect of human psychology, IMO. Some folks just have a deep-seated need to believe that they can do a better job of blending a motor oil (based on Internet myths no less) than the experts can.
