I just tested my wiper motor before attaching it and it is not working at all. Power connections and switch on dash work fine as 12v registers at the motor, but nada. Is this I rebuild I should tackle or send out. If sending out, to whom?
thanks everyone.

I've rebuilt two of them and found the task not too difficult. The shop manual is essential though. Usually the contacts just need cleaning.

I don't know who would rebuild them but I would think any auto-electrical shop would be able to do it, check the yellow pages in your area.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

I bought a used working one on ebay. It came from England and was very cheap (about $20) plus about $40 shipping.

Hi Rich
Look better on connection wires - erratic connections
don't permit at wiper motor to start-
in this error I was incurred during my rebuild works

wires was simply inverted and it NOT works-EASY to Fall
colour of wire is
green and black at terminal (1) and green wire at terminal (2)
BLACK Ground at terminal (E)
NOTE:
the wiper switch connect the ground to the motor terminal(1)

NO modification occurred if car is NEGATIVE grounded (as mine)

as usual better tests can be make on work bench with a battery or 12V- 10A supply
A lot of interesting photos of wiper motor-added at the end of this album https://picasaweb.google.com/searunner44...feat=directlink
cheers
