Who knows their Lola's well?

This is probably an easy one... Spotted this race car locally, the owner told me that it's a Lola T59 and that's about all the conversation I was able to have.

I have searched on the internet and come up with almost nothing on a Lola T59, any ideas? [picture below]

I'd say it's a 2-litre 490 or 492 from the mid-late 70s. It's probably a 590, though, to guess from your post. The 590 was based on the 490, in turn developed from the 290, If I remember well....

I think you are correct, a Lola T590, sports 2000, Ford OHC, 1980. Another similar image attached.
