Who is going to Triumphest in Laughlin NV?

So many shows, so little time!!

Okay, we are also doing Triumphest in Laughlin NV from Colorado.

Triumphest 2007 is October 11-14 at the River Palms Resort Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada.

Web site is https://www.triumphest.com/

This years theme is "The only Bond Film where James Bond Drove a Triumph". So get your best Bond suit, your Bond Girl, and your Triumph and get to Triumphest!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

Since James Bond drove a Saffron Stag in "Diamonds are Forever" - (with a Herald exhaust overdubbed to it because the Stag V8 exhaust sounded BETTER than an Aston Martin DB), well we will be pushing for a LARGE attendance of Stags at this event!! I will bet that if you own a Saffron Stag, it will be displayed in the hotel Lobby!!

The Triumph Stag Club USA will be having a Triumph Stag exhaust note contest to see which attending Stag sounds the best!! I recommend that the Judges be a team of Bond Girls :> /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif

Rooms are like $34 per night except Friday/Saturday are like $64 IF you book using the club discount. Some folks are booking separately and getting a different lower rate, but I am not sure if the club gets a special rate on the conference rooms if they have their numbers book using the event rate.

Toronto Triumphs thinks they will get over 25 Stags all the way up in Canada for British Car Day at Bronte Park.

The challenge is to beat the Canadians attendance for Triumphs and Stags at Triumphest!! We only had something like 24 Stags and 314 Triumphs at VTR 2007.

So you Californian Stag and Triumph Owners, all you TEXANS that did not come to VTR 2007 after we ALL sweated our butts off driving to Irving in freakin JULY, and every state within 1000 miles of Laughlin, hop in the Triumphs and get to Triumphest!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif

Heck, it's October, where else would one be but Triumphest?
I'll be there.

I wonder if Basil will be there?? Does he still have a Triumph?

Unless DCTRA has an open Hospitality Suite, then

Where else, /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thirsty.gif

The PUB!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Lets say, for either 1:00pm afternoon beverages, or evening beverages. Day and times?

Heck, let me talk to my new club publicity Director and maybe we will have a cooler somewhere.

Okay all you North America Triumph owners, it is time to get your cars ready and reservations made for Triumphest 2007 in Laughlin Nevada.

Triumphest 2007 is October 11-14 at the River Palms Resort Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada.

Web site is https://www.triumphest.com/

Rumor has it that there will be lots of "Bond" Girls since the theme is the James Bond Movie, Diamonds are Forever.

This is the official invitation to all of my TSC USA club members and fellow Triumph Stag enthusiasts to come to Triumphest 2007 - we will hold an AGM for all club members.

Of course, everyone is invited regardless of where you live.

Be there!

FWIW -- I was reviewing the maps and trip plan with my 'nagivator' and we decided we will go a day early & use Thursday to do a loop up thru Boulder City and drive across Hoover Dam one last time before they close it forever to auto traffic.

Anyone interested in this Thursday drive let me know.

Hi GH, Nobody that wants to be "COOL" !----Keoke--- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Maybe look up US 66 on the way? I think anyone caravaning from Colorado will take the scenic routes through 4 Corners, or maybe try going south to hook up some of the old Route 66

HEY, Triumphest is in about 6 weeks. Who is going?

That sounds great. We have two Stags so far planning a two day trip out of the Denver area through Durango and 4 corners area where 4 states touch at the same point, then to Laughlin the second day.

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bow.gif and be in all 4 states at once

Return trip should be great too, probably stop somewhere in northern Arizona or New Mexico maybe try some old Route 66.

Any more takers? There sure are a bunch of Triumphs in Colorado that can easily make this trip. Carpe Triumph!!

We'll be there... we're driving the Spitfires north from Phoenix. That time of year it is not so very hot- so it is top down driving. WE plan to leave maybe Wednesday morning. I'd like to meet some other forum people... T.T.

Ouch, my car is in pieces. I wanna go, but you know
how it is. I'd love to be there. Oh, well, only time
will tell.

Well it is one of those things, Carpe diem and all that rot. I have never been to a bad Triumphest and this one will not be any different! (actually I have never been to a BAD triumph show ever!) You can probably guarantee it will not be raining and not be very hot. Perfect for drop head weather.

For now this trip is shaping up nicely ... Two Stags will be driving from Colorado to Laughlin, and the only way it gets better is to add more Triumphs!

Hi Marty and All:

Great idea for a gathering. I just reserved my room from the 10th to
the 14th at the host hotel. My co-pilot and I with another couple will
be arriving the evening of Wednesday the 10th. How about we extend the
invitation to all the Triumph email listers including British Car Forum
members? And why make it one evening? Lets do the evening of the 10th too!

As to venue, we can pull up a patch of landscaped grass next to the
river right at the hotel, pull out a few coolers of beverages, start up
a grill and grill up some poor mans steaks!! There are some nice green
and treed areas between the pool and the river and if we make it an
evening rendezvous, the weather will be perfect. I bet the Hotel and or
host club will have a Triumphest message board up so we can post the
details there.

There were some Stags there too. We had a massive turn out. I left before the awards, so I don't know who won from your group, or mine for that matter.

So I was standing right next to you Brosky!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif One of those Stags was mine!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif

Okay, at least I can say my Stag was on the East Coast at least once this year at a Triumph Show and traveled almost 4000 miles round trip.

You really need to get that TR6 out west where it can stretch its legs a bit ...

Anyway I'll post some photos when I get back, or maybe from the show.
