Who has killed or lost their cell phone ?

So far neither husband or I have lost or destroyed a cellphone. However there is always a first time. As to coverage in our area now have Verizon and can't complain. Wouldn't mind having the I-phone as I have an I-Touch which is great, but had AT&T and coverage wasn't so good.

Went to the NM State Fair car show today and it was great. After 14 years in New Mexico I had my first breakfast burrito with green chile-don't know why I waited so long, it was great. Of course this was quickly followed by desert - a funnel cake and coffe.

Great day had by all and Agatha came home with a ribbon and trophy.

Walked into the construction trailer and used their phone.

We all did a good laugh ----some weeks later.

Shoot. I was hoping you had one of those awesome Pye radio-phones in your TR!

Hot tub.......

I've killed three out of frustration and am working on a fourth.... The funniest story I've heard was a friend who had a short string of lobster pots and had no luck all season. Bated them with cod, haddock, and stripped bass carcasses, pulled them to find them empty until one day when he pulled them and found a cell phone. Whoever was pulling them and stealing the lobsters must have lost it out of a pocket or something.

Haven't done in a phone yet, but I did discover while painting a tub that my then pager didn't react well to solvents in the air. Guess it needed a respirator too since a couple hours after doing the paint work it started going off, resetting the timer, turning itself off and on, and so on randomly during the day. Even if I turned it off, it wouldn't stay that way. At least I didn't get any questions when I turned it in as no longer working.

I've lost my cellphone 3 times, called it, and someone answered and I had it back in under an hour. 3 times, 3 different people.

I just bought my wife a new phone when it dies after 4 years and even though it was still covered by a service plan, they could no longer repair it since they no longer had spare parts.

I tried to drown mine once really well by running it through with a load of laundry, spin cycle, the works....

Took it out, pulled the battery and SIM card and left it for two weeks or so... stuck everything back together and it worked fine... and that was a year ago and more....

tinster, ive been carrying the burden of my sinfull aggression toward my first cell phone for 8 years now and since you brought up the subject ill confess to "youzguys" in hopes ill stop the nightmares about my mother having witnessed the act and slapping the snot out of me, while installing 12 inch crown molding on a job another customer was calling me every 2 minutes interupting my concentration for over three hours, in addition i was waiting for my fathers doctor to call to explain dads condition since hed had a mild heart attack, i walked outside and vaporized the phone against a stone wall, silly, childish, stupid, aggressive?, yup!.. i feel so much better now! thanks, you saved me 14 hours on a sofa and about $3200.00.

I did a similar childish thing. I bought a new cell phone, it seemed to work at the Verizon store but ten minutes later
it was obvious if was defective.

I went back to the Verizon store, waited in line and they told me I would have to drive an hour over to their service department. (To repair a ten minute functional, new phone)

I argued I purchased a new, functional phone and did not want a repaired phone. On and on this went until I blew a gasket and hurled the phone into the wall across the room and stomped out.

Later I had to return, pick up my phone and drive the hour.
I got a new phone at the service Department.

The worst was a perfect three point landing in my cup of coffee once. I couldn't have tried a more perfect flip and plop! Pulled the battery, let it dry for a few days and used it for another three years

Sorry, never have.....

I'm on phone #3 since about 1997, none have been dunked/smashed/trashed/lost. #2 is still in service as Herself's unit. SHE beats 'em up. #1 became obsolete (analog) when I changed carriers.
