I'm looking to put one in but not sure where or how to find one. Did MG ever have a clock in a car cept for the older models, TD, Magnette....

Any Pics?

That look German. Is it and do you know from what car?

Vince, Here's two photos of supposedly MGB clocks from 76 to 80. They were supposed to be console mounted. The top one, on ebay, looks like it's a Smiths and the bottom Lucas. Your guess is as good as mine if they were put in earlier cars. I've never seen one.

Rubber bumper cars all had clocks in the dash....they are German.

I ****think**** it was only the 1977-1980 MGBs (and maybe Midgets).

My parts 1976 MGB nor my 1974-1/2 MGB/GT have a clock, whereas my1978 MGB does.

I didn't know that Tony. I guess if you found one for an earlier model, you would have to be concerned with polarity, right?

I have a clock in both my A and my 66 B...

It's attached to my wrist...

My '77 has a clock. In the dash above the temperature guage.

How'd you get your speedo crystal so clear?

These are the ones they used on the late RBB:

The old one looked like it had been stored in a nicotine furnace for eons. Yellow, brown, yuck. I couldn't polish it out enough so I made a new one from a plastic picture frame.

FWIW, I cleaned all the instruments too by taking the faces off, polishing the glass, cleaning the faces, etc. The bezels didn't want to clean up very well, so I did the best I could with the black painted portions, then I used 400-grit sandpaper to brighten up the silver parts. Worked great!

Clocks were, were not from the factory, a dealer option. Even for Bugeyes, etc, etc.

They were from the factory on RB MGB's, Jack.....and that location in the dash in the photo above is where they were located....& they are German.

Miss typed, "when not from the factory, were a dealer option."

Even the Morris 7 had a clock. I have a speedo from one laying around (for some reason).

By the way, if anyone is looking for one of these, please let me know.
