Who drove their Triumph today??

I know that I am a little late adding to this post, but I drove my TR the night before you asked the question! Looks like it may be the last time this year, too as the gritting lorries are doing their worst at the moment.
It was only two degrees above freezing and my son spent the return part of the journey curled up in the footwell where he got a good blast of hot air from the heater!

Wanted to try to fire it up today.
Found I'd left the ignition on and hadn't turned off the cutoff - which probably means I've fried my pertronix - and totally drained the battery.

It wouldn't even charge because the voltage was too low (at 0.1V it was pretty much dead). I ended up jumping it off the LR to get it over 4v so the charger would kick in, so it's on charge tonight for another attempt tomorrow. It's an Optima, but even so I doubt that's done it much good...

What a joy...

Cool here in the valley east of Phoenix- maybe not into the 70s. I did drive the car in and out of the garage. My son won the lift offered as a prize at the Laughlin Triumphest. He does not have space ofr it at his house so my wife and I volunteered to put in out garage. In order to use it I had to buy some 2x10s about ten feet long to get the Spitfire high enough to over the lift. Hence in and out of the garage. Maybe tomorrow I can drive further and use the lift.
T.T.

Nobody that I know did up here in NE. Only in the low 30's with wind chills in the low 20's standing in the sunny park.

I don't even want to know what it felt like with a top down at 55MPH.

What? None of you Washingtonians took advantage of the sunshine? I put about 100 miles on my 6 yesterday, even though it's about 35 degrees.
Lots of layers....

Like I said,I drove mine from Lynnwood to Federal Way

Well Paul,

I'll tell ya... with the top up, heater on max, and the driver sidescreen off it really didn't matter after the first half hour. I was totally numb which rhymes with dumb while the car was saying it's too cold to run at idle. A little (lot of) cardboard in front of the rad might have helped yesterday.

Snowing here in Alberta today
TR6 drivin' is done for the season
BTW Dale, those aren't potholes, merely dips in the road; ya got to see the one's we get after spring breakup, could lose a TR6 in one of them!
