Who Drove New Year's Day?

Bob_Muzio said:
The two Los Angeles area Triumph clubs, TRSC and SCTOA, celebrated the New Year with a scenic drive through the Santa Monica Mountains.

Is that yellow thing the Talbot-Matra you mentioned?

Yup, that's him. There are a couple of yellow Triumphs, but they are off in the distance and hard to see.

Well, at least I assume that's what it was ... written in big letters across the back; but it could have been a Renault for all I know about French cars.

Don.

Tulum is such an interesting ruin to visit.
Did you know it was a Myan lighthouse?
The water is beautiful at the base of the cliffs.

Took a 45 foot trimaran to Cancun, Mexico.
Started a day charter business that went south on me,
(pun for fun?) Boat named El Tigre. Sailed
to Isla Mujeres from Cancun on fun day trip...
snorkeling; lunch and me and my partner have the
dubious honor of setting into motion the "all you can
drink at one price," (at that time) concept later well exploited by Spring Breakers (may be why I'm out of
business,) but it was fun.

Ah! Fond memories of hanging on for dear life off
the side rails of the local water taxi tub to Isla
Mujeres. Cancun-one of my all time favorite places
to visit. Good food, nice folks, very clean but the
time share sellers drove us crazy.

Rented the Jeep from Hades. Topless, somewhat functional
engine and kinda brakes. Nothing else functioned and we
got 8 miles per gallon. Not many gas stations in the outback of the Yucatan.

Ran my 1960 TR3A for about an hour out on the back roads here in Northern Calif. Beautiful day, clear and sunny, temp. in the low 50's, very few cars on the road. It really doesn't get any better.
