A pleasant 2 hour island tour with concert pianist
Luis Ramos Santana, visiting with us from New York.
Big grins and waves from the two young policemen when
we zipped past them. The Harley guys we met hooted and
hollered, as usual.

So Who else drove their cars this fine New Year's day??
Sitting in the car and making vroom vroom sounds counts.

Happy New Year Dale.

I drove the TR6 for a while yesterday, But the new year brings on a Very Dreary Rainy day here in Connecticut,

Well better than snow anyway!

I drove home from my gig at 2am this morning. It was -4*F or so.

Oh, and that was in a Hyundai. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I'll go sit in the Tunebug for a short while today, since it's warmed up to 4*F or so now.

"So Who else drove their cars this fine New Year's day?"

Well not I, at least not in my TR. But, here is a memento of our visit last week. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality and the chance to drive Amos /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/savewave.gif.

Just back from a quick drive in the TR8 to fill the tank and generally run through the gears. Temp's dropping and I saw a few snowflakes. Supposed to be in the mid-teens tonight with a chance of flurries.

The TR8 and the B are tucked away, but ready for the next sunny day!

WhiteLightning(79 Spit) & I were out the day before new years day for quite a jount,Just a little stiff but things smooth out & quieted down after 15 20 miles their were no issues even the Laycock kicked in ok.Some vibration ftom the HT as i didn't choose to fasten in down on the sides. Can't wait to look at some locations for my new Sony 'Handycam'to mount somewhere on the passenger side, very easy to use pop in a 31/2 dvd & 45 minutes later pop-it in the player.Maybe it'll be on 'You-Tube'someday. Cheers my friends.

I charged my battery and THOUGHT about driving today, but that's as far as I got when it started with the freezing rain again.

72 and sunny before the rain starts here - got the TR8 out for a spin! I can't recommend the poly bushings and springs from Ted enough.

Took the TR6 out after working on the Cortina.
About 4PM it starts to get a lot colder here.

Had a very nice drive with the local clubs. Roughly 20 Triumphs and one Talbot-Matra that I guess felt more at home with English cars than the Italian club that was driving in the same area /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Didn't keep close track of mileage; but it was about 50 miles each way to the start/end points; and the organizer said the drive was only 40-some miles (tho it took about 1.5 hours to drive it).

well, as it was sleeting, hailing, raining and snowing in Connecticut today ...

I did walk out to TeeYah and checked how much voltage comes from my solar battery charger in miserable weather.

The two Los Angeles area Triumph clubs, TRSC and SCTOA, celebrated the New Year with a scenic drive through the Santa Monica Mountains. Twenty seven Triumphs toured the many curved roads in the mountains between the San Fernando Valley and the Pacific Coast. Catalina, Downtown LA, Santa Monica, LAX, the Palos Verdes Peninsuala and the San Fernando Valley were easily seen on this beautiful, clear and sunny, day. The drive ended at a restaurant in Malibu where lunch was consumed amid talk of the drive, future events, and the afternoon's Rose Bowl contest.
