Hi Bob.

Best rebuilder: World Wide Auto of Madison.

Some Clues:

Do they leak oil, Does the car bounce up and down going over bumps, Do the arms appear loose on their shafts, When the arms are moved up and down with the shock disconnected is there good force and uniform in both directions. ---Keoke

Apple has been at it for years. Knows Healeys well. I got good service.

t has been so long, I forgot what fluid I put in my shocks. Looks like 30 oil.

What are you using for shock fluid?

Ia there an easy way to drain the fluid without removing the shocks?

-- andy 65 i dont believe they use delrin seals nor that they custom re-valve for your particular usage no ive been to that land of fruit and went to worldwide for keeps and no leaks!

Glad to learn about Worldwide. I haven't had shocks rebuilt so I don't have first hand knowledge. I did have a wheel cylinder and servo at the land of fruit with no problems so far. Does Worldwide do those?

shock fluid is the same as 20wt motorcycle fork oil.

Shock Guru Peter revealed some time ago in this forum that he uses a hydraulic oil available at tractor supply stores. He also gives a lifetime warranty against leaking!
