We've had American Lawmakers now for 230+ years.
Federal, State, Local and even neighborhood.

I imagine a whole wheelbarrow of tens of thousands
of laws must exist on the books somewhere. More
are being made every month.

The Mrs and I could not immediately name ten laws
within 30 seconds of thinking time.

Can anyone think of more than ten laws in 30 seconds?

How 'bout some "Thou Shalt Nots"?

Okay Mickey,here goes nothing!!

Thou shalt not drink and drive.
Thou shalt not evade taxes.
Thou shalt not use offensive language.
Thou shalt not abuse or mis-use public property.

Stuart.

You can come up with some others,I'm sure. :jester:

I can come up with quite a few, none of which are American, though. I can quote chapter and verse, definitions, the whole ball o'wax! Funny how that stuff burns into the memory banks.

Once a policeman,always a policeman,Steve. :jester:

If things are drummed into you often enough, then they stay with you forever. :jester: :hammer:

Refer to it, but I don't keep it in recall.

The Supreme Law of the Land; The Constitution of The United States of America.

Easy enough to search engine it and get access quickly.

My mother-in-law, father-in-law, four sister-in-laws, two brothers-in-law and the grandparents-in-law!! (is that ten?, Yep!) :jester:

Its easy enough, just focus on something you're familiar with, like driving, and then think of all the regulations you have (or should ) comply with:

Speed limits.
Stop at Stop signs.
Yield at Yield signs.
Signal when turning.
Don't drink and drive.
Don't pass in no passing zones.
Don't park in no parking zones.
Tires have the required minimum tread.
Have a valid driving license.
Have a valid car inspection.
Have a valid car tax/registration plate.
Don't tailgate.
etc.,
etc.,
etc. ....
