Who can mount tires & balance wire wheels in LA?

Looking for someone in the San Fernando or Santa Clarita valleys who can mount tires onto wires and then properly balance. My Milestars are getting slim of tread! Last guy I went to did what he could but he had no wire wheel-specific mounting hardware for the balancer.

It seems like I remember someone explaining how to use an old hub to make an adapter for balancing machines. Anyone else remember who that was?

Find an old shop with a bubble balancer. Thats what I've done and am threatening to buy one. JC Whitney has them and I imagine Harbor Freight as well. I mount all my tube type tires anyway so I might as well be able to balance them.

Kurt.

I had Valley Wire Wheel service in Van Nuys do mine for me. They also did the wheels on our old XJ-6 with great success, we mounted tubeless tires with no trouble. He does the wheels for the Peterson and the Mullen museums too. Call Mike at 818-785-7237
