Who Am I Kidding??? Engine Rebuild Time!

After mulling this over for all of 2 days, I've decided that my 56K mile TR-2 engine needs a rebuild. I have nightmares imagining having the restoration done and one of the 50 year old engine components deciding to give up the ghost! I'll just add that to the amount I need in that Xmas bonus..ha!!

Noooooooooo! I'll trade you. You can have my dismantled tr3 engine with carbs and extra TR2 head and intake. I'll take the running plant. I'd love to not have to do a rebuild right now.
but then your car woulden't be matching numbers.
Oh well I can dream can't I /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Bill,

You did tell me so..ha!

Banjo,

I just am not sure about the longevity of that motor. It's out on an engine stand, and all the accessories are off of it. Mark at British Auto will completely rebuild it for 3K, and I'll be able to sleep at night knowing I will never have to remove it from the car again. I just don't have the engine rebuild tools I need, and after my experience with having to rebuild my 6 engine twice, I'm going to opt for someone else rebuilding it that I trust. I'm almost positive I'll be keeping that car till I can't crawl in and out of it anymore.....

Thanks guys,
