Howdy all!

I've got a pair of 5" Lucas fog lamps on my BT7's badge bar. I've always loved the look of one clear and one fluted amber lense, but for the life of me, I can't seem to find an amber light. I recall that these used to be readily available, either as old spares or reproductions. Saw a single lamp in the flea market at the Hershey car show, and it priced at darn near $400! Anyone know where to get one or a pair?

Many thanks!

I've treid to find them as well, but they no longer seem to be available. I bought a pair on e-bay some time ago. Cost around $200 for the two, as I recall.

One thing you might consider: some years ago there was a yellow dye available that could be applied to the lens to make it amber. I doub that it is still available, here in the UK it was used by people travelling to France with their cars, back when the French used yellow headlights.

Use the paint, as James says above it used to be mandatory to have yellow headlights in France. I also remember being able to buy a film to cover the lenses as a temporary measure, when hoping over the channel.
As a note all Japanese imports here in NZ have yellow foglights.

Thanks guys -- great suggestion on the paint. I was discussing the issue with my father, and he recommended the very same thing. I think I'll pick up a can, and then add it to my winter list.
