White Walls or Not?

Port A Walls! Holy cow, didn't know they still existed. I think my dad put them on the family car, a 57 Ford station wagon, or was it the early 60's VW Bus.

Have you gotten the BMIHT certificate for your car? On the certificate that I got under item 11: "Details of factory fitted equipment" I have 'Whitewall tyres'. My thought is if you have that on your cert. then maybe go with the original equipment otherwise if it doesn't have that maybe the car didn't come with whitewalls. At least that way you'd be keeping with the original equipment.

Howdy Folks,

I have several pics of TR3s "With & Without" Whitewalls (Approx. 2-1/8" to 2-1/4"). To me; They appear to be great looking on the "Darker" color cars (Blk, Dk. Blue, BRG etc). While on the "Lighter" color cars; They just don`t seem to stand out or enhance the appearance as much as the "Darker" color cars. To me; They also look much better on "Disc" wheels vs. "Wire Wheels".

It would be int. to see what the "Black Walls" would look like with the "Trim Rings" mounted on your car.

Have Fun either way,

Russ
