Hey Dale.
Floor pans are easy. And other lies.
You have two choices. Buy the Heritage floor pans or go with sheet steel. The reason you would have an option in this case is you probably won't be changing out your entire floor pans as this would entail a huge, really huge, undertaking. Such as cutting out a bunch of spot welds, brazings and other really nasty things. Best to do with body off, doable with body on but will need to respray car, almost.
The Heritage pans are a slight thinner gauge than the original
(I measured, I know) They do have all the stiffening crimps and holes, which makes it easy. And, they really aren't that expensive. Now, if you are gonna just change the front 1/2 and leave the rear half intact, you might consider getting some 20 gauge sheet steel. But then you have to deal with the raised section that holds your tunnel cover down. You won't be able to fabricate this. Just buy the Heritage pans.
I cut withing 1 inch of the sills and front foot rest and maybe 6 inches from the rear and replaced the tunnel rail with the new pans. I used an over-lap joint, which is not perfect but a lot easier than a butt joint. Concours would require a butt joint, grounding the welds to perfection. Perfection and Welding are not two words that I can say I would use in the same sentence. More later if needed.
Happy fishing.
