Hi,
I have a run of the mill British car ignition switch marked
Battery, Ignition, Acc and ST.
The wires were pulled off without marking them and now
I'm unsure which colours go where.
The wire colours are Red, Yellow, Black/white and Black/blue.
The advice given by my old friend Whackem is to put the Red on the Battery marked terminal and whack the others on in various combinations until the right lights appear on the dash.
I rather like this car so would like to know where the other coloured wires attach to the switch without burning out the electric system.

Any information would be most gratefully received.

First step - look at your Sebring Rover V8 owner's manual and/or wiring diagram!

Agree with Tom. With 22 yrs experience with Rovers and own 2, I still get the book out.

First step is to expect that someone has screwed up the wiring before you got the car. Next.. a volt-ohm meter is your best friend. The colors you have listed are not Lucas standard..
