Which Springs to use?

I finally got a chance to look at the 2 sets of Front Spings I have for Bugsy my '68 Sprite. Set 1 came from a '69 Midget and Set 2 I had in Bugsy was a new set from MOSS about 8 years ago and they were supposed to be for a BE not a Spridget(and we won't go into the first 2 sets of Springs that were shipped to me, were mislabeled and turned Bugsy into an off road Sprite.
Set 1 - Coil diameter is a solid 1/2" and they stand about 1/4" taller than Set 2
Set 2 - Coil Diameter is only 7/16"

Both of these springs measure at the correct height they are supposed to be. Jack Laird provided me that reference a few weeks ago so I know they are correct in height.

Bugsy with Set 2 installed had a decided 1" or better lean to the left on the DS of the car.

I think my decision was confirmed tonight to reinstall 40+ y.o British Steel, remove the lowering kit, and see if Bugsy sits level once again. Plan will be to clean up and derust Set 1. Can I get an Amen to my logic here from the group?
