Can someone tell me which oil canister is correct for a 1960 Bugeye with a stock 948 engine? My first time changing the oil filter. Any tips?
Kevin

The best tip is to change to a spin on oil filter. order the do-dah from the 1275 that goes on the side of the block and don't look back.

That doesn't help you today, but you'll be happier down the road.

To answer you question, for engines 9C/U/H. The one on the left was for the (Tecalemet) filter; part number of the one on the left is 17H-944. The one on the right is for a (Purolator) filter part number 17H-1169.

If you have a 9CG/DA/H engine the one on the left is for the (Tecalemit) filter part number 37H-436. And the one on the right is for the (Purolator) part number 17 H-1169.

If you have a 10CG engine the one the left is for the (Tecalemet) Part number 37H-436. The one on the right is for (Purolator) part number 17H-1169.

To make things simple convert your engine over to the 1275 filter adapter and use the spin on and not worry about the hassle of trying to get the correct filter.
