Which Moss steering wheel cover?

I am considering purchasing one of the leather steering wheel covers from Moss but I'm not sure which one I should get. The wheel of my BT7 is clearly 16.5 to 17 inches, but there are two choices at that diameter: 2 1/2 and 2 3/8 grip. It's kinda tough to measure the grip size down to an eighth of an inch. When I measure it, I come up with something in between. Anyone purchased one of these for a BT7? (I think most of these wheels are the same size, but I'm not sure.)

If I were you I would look at(I think it is called Wheel skins or something like that) anyway it should be easy to find on the internet. They have you measure your steering wheel in various ways and make you a leather cover that you sew on. They come in different colors etc. I put one on my ex BE and it looked pretty nice. I used black and red.

Plus one for the Wheelskins cover. This is the one I put on my BJ7 wheel before I put the Lempert wheel on. Very nice quality:

I Prefer one of the aftermarket covers that justsnap on. Then if I want to show the car i can remove the cover. The only reason I use a cover is to keep the wheel cool minimizing cracking of the plastic and not burning my hands when traveling in the heat.

The Moss cover IS a wheelskins cover. So, my original question still stands: Anyone know if it should be 2 1/2 or 2 3/8?

Keith,

I just put one on my 62 BN7 with the original bakelite wheel and I used the 2-3/8 size and it fit perfectly.

I used a wheelskin on my BJ8. The advertised sizes just didn't fit well on the stock wheel. I called and talked with them and they made it custom to the dimension I gave them. I also told them I wanted an extra lacing so I could do a baseball stitch, they included the lacing for no extra charge. Great customer service. I installed it about 2007 and have never looked back. It feels nice and looks great.
