Which front springs?

I've got 2 choices for front springs for my Bugeye (now with a 1275 and front discs). I can clean up and reuse the springs from that came off the Bugeye, or use the ones from the '74 midget donor car.

I have a vague memory of being told to use the later springs, as the 1275 is a bit heavier than the 948? It's been a while...

Thoughts?
 
Someone posted a list of stock spring heights just a few fews ago. I believe it was Jack Laird. Difference in spring height between BE and a 74 is < 1/2". Now we won't talk about my experiences with ordering new springs from the usual suspects and turning Bugsy into an off road Spridget..
 
I would use the original Bugeye springs. Other then that the lowered 340# ones are nice. 264-605. They are the ones on this car.

I had wire wheels (which stuck out) & my tyres rubbed on arches over the bumps (nothing like the smell of burning rubber).
My solution.... eat less pies..
no. Dump the WW, re-build the front suspension as all the rubber bushes were shot & put original springs back in.

There you have it. I'll clean up the Bugeye springs and use them in the rebuild. Just have to wait for it to stop snowing so that I can get them painted (I paint outside, and it's currently cold and snow covered out there).
