Today, my daughter & son-in-law took my 2-1/2 year old grandson to the mall to buy him a new movie....it came down to 2 choices, his and theirs.....as parents, they made the choice - the wrong choice!

Tonight on the phone, my daughter told me he's okay whith their choice but is still letting them know he wanted the other movie...

Grampa T is going down to babysit tomorrow & he'll rectify that mistake! hehehe

Isn't that what grandchildren are for? My son always told us when the grand children were growing up that we always spoiled them rotten and how are they supposed to learn that they don't get everything they ask for? And, I always told him, that what their parents are for.

When I visited my grandparents (mom's) together, they would give me money to go buy ice cream or whatever during my visit. Each thought secretly that it wasn't enough, so later when the other wasn't looking, they'd come in and give me more money. Strange, I never felt I had to say, "That's OK Grandpa, Grandma already gave me more". I didn't want to start a domestic problem. Yeah, that's it. All that to say: Go git it Tony!
 
I'm not sure who those people are that call themselves my son's grandparents...but they are NOT the same people who raised me. My mom swears that if she had known grandkids were this much fun, she would have skipped the children and had the grandchildren first!

Way to go Tony, I can't imagine what movie would have been more significant than CARS! It is a great movie!

I don't think that you can go wrong
with your choice.That's one of our Granddaughter's
favorite movies.
I'll ask her "What does Lightning McQueen say?"
To which she replies "KaChow!".
At least it gives you an excuse to watch it (again).

I could give lessons about Cars, as my 2 yo grandson and I are addicted.
He has everything from the movie to slippers and pj's.
And the best part is the great BIG smile.

That's what is worth it!

Go for it and don't apologize.

The upsetting thing about all that Cars merchandise is that almost all of the really COOL stuff is ONLY in kids sizes!!!! :laugh: Man.........!

Already got him a little trumpet!! Over T'giving, I got one of my trumpets out & showed him how to blow it...& the little sucker made a noise - probably a short C - through it!

& he gets his little guitar out & plays along when his dad is doing that guitar game on his X-Box.
