Finally all the paperwork is done and I talked to my boss and I will be going back to work on Monday on limited duty on day shift. I got my fingers crossed that all that works out well. That also gives me a few more days to work on the midget before work. Been puuting the carpets and panels in and trying to get everthing right. I pulled 3 extra power wires to the trunk in case I want to hook something else back there later. I also pulled 4 pair of speaker wires from the fron to rear cause I'm not sure where I am gonna mount my amp yet. Its really starting to look like a car now. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Outstanding on going back to work first. Second on the progress you are makeing, should be finished to the casual eye by then. LOL

That's really great news Kim! It's going to be a relief getting back on the job, and hey you have a few days to play around before starting work!
I'll bet that Midget is looking good!

Its late and thanks guys, I been busy on the midget all day. Parts came today, and then the new stereo amp I ordered. I had so much going on that I could not stay on one thing, just jump from one to another, whew. I finally stopped and had supper and a couple beers and made a list of of what needed to be done. Then I redid the list for in what order. I need to stick to that and quit jumping around.

Sounds like you were a kid in a candy store - sounds like FUN!
When you get a chance it would be great to see some progress pictures. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Boy the way you are going we are likely to see completed pics by the weekend.

Kim's gonna be DRIVING that car to work Monday!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif (you wish...right Kim!) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Kim, good to hear that your well enough to get back to work -- that's got to be a relief.

You'll get there, it's going to be great driving that baby to work on Monday eh? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Kim:

Great news on getting clearance to return.

Just keep plugging along on the midget and you will get there.

I just did carpet and electrical. Ele was a bear, carpet easy (kit for midget, not roll cut). If you bought the same - your as good as driving.

George

Kim we all pulling for you to drive it around the block finished to the normal person. We all know they are never done in fact.

What a feeling to be so close after all the tribulations.

Whew, well. I decide to quit for a while. We will see if I can do that /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif I finished all the carpet, new gas pedal, interior panels minus doors, electrical, all the stereo stuff, too much stuff to name here. I still have to do all the doors glass, regulators, vent windows, interior. Still the front bumper, grill and surround, windshield and top. I try not to get in too much of a hurry and fix things right as I come to them. Hunting and fabbing takes time. I covered the cockpit with an old bed sheet and decided to take a break. I am thinking of going for a motorcycle ride tomorrow and take it easy.

Man you getting real close.

Yeah, I seem to be getting in too much of a hurry for no reason. I have until next spring to get it ready for the road. Not about to drive the spridget in the snow and the crap, thats what the sportage is for. I just need to take my time and do things right so they won't need to be messed with again and it will be almost like a new car. I don't know if I will do anything on it today, if I do it will be putting new rubber in the windshield. Any pointers on doing that? or the installation?

Get a friend.
