Where were you on November 20, 1959?

Let's see, that date would have made me -15 years old. Talking about old literature, My 1927 RCA Radiola 18 radio had a tube with a handwritten label on it saying the tube was reconditioned in 1934. I just thought it was neat to find somebody's handwriting that was done some 72 years ago and preserved.

It's a gift.

Normandy artillery spotter... and flak magnet.

I was a cadet in the British Merchant navy, sailing down the West African coast on the SS Chandler.

I was about a week away from getting out of the army and 2 weeks away from purchasing my first Bugeye. An Iris Blue beauty. Sold a few years later when my wife decided to have twins. In the last 2 years, I have acquired 2 Bugeyes. 1959 and a 1960. Both are in various stages af de-rust and disrepair, but I am making great progress.

I was an Avation Cadet, class of 60-06 in fact.

Not a good year, but well worth doing. Commisioned when I graduated. Guess I was just 21 and my first Bugeye was still 3 years away.

A 21 year old "Butterbar." I remember those twinkies!!
