Where to buy Bugeye Body Panels?

Hi,

I'm looking at Bugeye body panels (interior and exterior) on the 4 major parts suppliers (Moss, Moss Europe, VB, AH Spares). The prices are mostly equivalent, even with the pound/dollar conversion, though shipping would obviously be higher from the UK/Europe.

In your opinion and experience, which supplies the best quality (including fit) panels?

Cheers,

- Chris

Hi Chris,
I think all three of those suppliers get their panels from the same vendors. I had good and bad experiences with all three. AH Spares carries a larger selection and their prices were lower, even with the higher shipping rate.

Thanks, Mark.

Moss Europe lists "original" and "aftermarket" for some of their panels.

Is "original" better?

- Chris

Rockers (inner and outer), lower rear fenders, part or maybe all floors (might get away with fabricated patches), lower outer front door pillar skin, maybe part of the bulkhead. There may be more as I start tearing the car apart.

I think there are a few manufacturers depending on the panel in question. BMH I think is usually "original" and steelcraft and such are usually "aftermarket".

Someone else may want to correct me, because this is just a generalized assumption of mine.

Forgive my ignorance; what is BMH?

I'm not sure what they mean by that. I don't remember ever seeing a choice.

I'm about 95% complete w/ my sheet metal resto on my BE and I'd recommend the "heritage" parts. They are more expensive, but a very good fit.
Bought most of my stuff from Moss, just watch for sales or specials. You can save some $$'s

Thanks!

I don't see any "heritage" panels for BE's on the Moss website; only a handful for mini and MGB/C.

Did you call them direct and order or was this from the Moss Europe site?

Cheers,

- Chris

Called direct, floor panels, back shut panel & RR qtr panel were marked heritage. The LR quarter was out of stock.
