where to buy 175/80r15's?

I'd go with Vredestein as well, if I had to buy new tires right now.

...but I don't know if I've ever seen a 175/80 size before. Vredestein has 175/70 in the Spring Classic, but no 175/80. You sure you didn't mean 185/70? That would be a more common size, and looks really nice on a Healey.

Last I heard, they had gone out of business. Though someone may have picked up the torch, so to speak.
 
You may be right Greg. It would not surprise me as they had become just a ware house operation. I have not been looking around much lately. If that is true he may have to go to the tire rack and/or Hendrix wire wheel.--Keoke
 
OK Marv :thankyousign: For those of you that have no experience with the KUMO Tyres. I have used them for years on my BJ9's and they have proven very satisfactory in that application.-Fwiw-Keoke
 
Thanks for all the reply’s but I am un- able to find the tires suggested. Perhaps I should first ask if the 175/80R15 are going to fit my stock 4.5" rims?
I was told on another thread that Moss Motors had good recommendations for my rims. That is where I got the 175/80R15 idea. Kuhmo seems to not carry the 175. Vredestein same story. Any leads?
 
Hi Bob There are NO 175/80/15 tires left in the world. You use a 165/80/15 or a 185/70/15 by Vredestein. The 185/70/15 should be mounted to a 5 inch rim. Allen Hendrix

Hi Allen,

I have 185/70-15 Vreds on 6-inch Dayton rims. Any dis/advantage using such a wide wheel? Handling is superb, but the tires do look a smidgen undersized for the wheel (this configuration was recommended to my by Bruce Erfer--original owner of BWW). Would 5.5-inch be suitable? I'll be in the market for new wheels and tires in a year or two--want to start contemplating now.

Hi Bob.. Most people use a 5 inch rim for 185/70/15 tires. There is no advantage or disadvantage to a 6 inch rim. Dayton makes a 5 inch and 6 inch. Dunlop makes a 5.5 inch Allen
