The 65 is running strong, too strong. I have set the carbs according to the shop manual. Fast idle one turn in from end position and Jet adjusting nut 2 turns down after being even with the bridge. I don't have a tach on at this point but it sounds like it is flying. What do I crank down to get to a nice even flow. I ahve reduced the Fast Idle to the point of stalling and cranked the jet adjusting nut back one full turn or should I be going the other way. Would like to slow it all down and have someone do a final adjustment if necessary. The pistons are barely moving, they do have oil and do move up and down freely. ?????????????

Check the choke fast idle screws, they may be in contact with the cams causing the idle to be too high.
Also, check each linkage at the throttle rods, if one or both are not set correctly, you will not get a proper idle. Loosen the nuts on the linkage clamps, make sure they are both all the way down and both contact the pegs at the same time.
