I just realized we havn't heard anything from Ben yet. Nial, any idea how bad things are where he is?

Ben's way north of Nial.

Ben is about 5 hours north of me. My guess is that he has the same power output issues I had. I don't think that area had any flooding problems (which have been the real danger in my area).

Owww, did know you were that close to water.

Does he live inna highly populated area?

I know he can make due. My concern is civil unrest and if he's prepared for such.

Nial, how clear are the roads, ani idea? Can folks get around? What are the chances of him being able to get around or folks tryin' to get to him...or anyone else here that's MIA at the moment?

Just checked Facebook & Gabrielle has been posting today. Don't know where Ben is but there is no mention of problems. Except her vacuum cleaner broke.

Billy- Your comment about civil unrest in Horseheads make me think of the old saying..."that dog don't hunt"

I happen to live in a city with less than a 50% caucasion population, where there were widespread power outages, and the only issues were people worried about when early voting was going to start.

Only thing I know about NY is NYC and Manhattan. Been readin' reports 'bout folks in NY gettin' restless and dind't know if that affected Ben or not.

Didn't know if'fun someone was gonna try to eat him. :eeek:

Didn't know if'fun he warse preepared ta du sum eatin' himself.

If'fum ya'll say he fyne, then he's fyne.

Steel, eye'd feal a mite pow'rful bet'ter no'in heed dun hayd hiss taybil set.

He's got the survivalist in him, he'd live in th' woods if need be. Skilled at it.

BOO!
Here I am.
We had a lot of wind, and some rain. a few limbs came down, and I got out of work an hour early cause we lost a leg of the power. Half the lights went out.
At the homestead we never lost power. Biggest effect from the storm here is locals gearing up to head downstate and help out.
Thee was really no flooding around here as the majority of the storm went to our south.
I've been absent from here lately due mostly to my schedule. regular work and teaching evening and weekend classes it taking it's toll. I'll be ready for the break at the end of the semester.
How you guys faring?

Been ok, had to deal with some sunshine and temperatures in the 70s to low 80s.
