Bought the wife a new car, Burgandy Acura.

Got the grandkids back home after summer visit to grandparents so wife and I decided was timely to take new car on a road trip.

Went up to west NC in the Mtns and back, Overnite at Biltmore House.

Only gone 5 days and that included one day at daughters in Atlanta.

Car is fine. 35.6 MPG on first 1800 miles. Amazing as far as I am concerned. Has so much computer stuff built in that I live with the book open.

Sorry KIm, just a quick trip. Maybe next time. Next summer for the meet at the BMW factory for sure.

Was cool up in the Highlands. Now if I can just find a nice place to rent up that way for a couple of weeks next summer....

So was a new Toyota Camary totally out of the question?

Jack, Congrats on the Acura. My 2000 TL is almost ready to hit 300k and my 2003 TL-S just passed 140k and adds 200 commuting miles daily. Great cars!! And yes, Acura stood behind and fixed the 5 speed tranny issues.

This was a trip for the Wife Hap, you know how that is.
