While driving my TR3B today, a piece fell out from behind the dash board and hit my right leg. It is light, grayish metal and looks like it should be clipping something in place. I do not remember seeing this before. It is about 4.5" long, and is abut 5/16" wide. Any ideas where this goes?

Looks like a heater bracket - holds the core to the plates. Should be 3 of them.

Thanks Peter...that gives me a start to know where to look and see if I can put it back. And it tells me that it is not related to the issue of my turn signal light on the dash not working properly that I noticed right after I was hit by the bracket...

Best to turn the heater off at the engine tap and check everything out, including the water hoses.

Not good in traffic to suddenly have boiling hot water all over the driver's legs. Even worse, a passenger copping it.

Hi There Dave,

It surely is your Heater Clip. It also appears that you will probably have to bend one end (Curved End) closer to the clip to creat tension so It`ll stay there.

How are things in PA these days?

Regards, Russ
