These were lying around loose inside my 79 Spitfire when I brought it home. Can someone tell me (or better yet, show me a picture) of where they go in the car?

They go inside the boot over the tail lamp assemblies. They are supposed to protect the wires and lamp sockets while dressing up the interior a bit. They mount with sheet metal screws (and perhaps some shiny flat washers).
 
Ah...Well last time I checked, the tail lamps were not working...So I guess someone has been poking around in there.
