Where are all the Sunbeam folks?

Re: Where are all the Sumbeam folkes?

We're too busy helping all the broken down Triumph owners. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Where are all the Sumbeam folkes?

I sure would like to say I have been driving my cars all that time.Unfortunately I have been so busy with so many other things.I have got back to working on my 62 so that is a good thing.I put the 5th tank of gas in the Lister so you can see I did not put too many miles on this year.
Longest drive was 185 miles for our clubs fall tour.
As the saying goes " next year"

Re: Where are all the Sumbeam folkes?

It's officially fall, because my wife and I put the hardtop on for the fall&winter.

Re: Where are all the Sumbeam folkes?

i myself have been in & out of town, haven't had time to even turn on my pc. but, with fall here i should be around more. my hardtop won't go on for a couple more weeks.

In my part of the world, classic cars entirely disappear into storage within a couple of weeks, waiting for this stuff to arrive...

Sucks to have the old cars disappear, but there is much beauty to enjoy in winter...

Re: Where are all the Sumbeam folkes?

Sherlock,

Ya need to move down to the sunny South. Seventy degree temps through October, one or two snow falls a year, no salt on the roads, and an early spring. You do miss the beauty of a good snowfall, but then again you get to drive lbc's all year long.

Re: Where are all the Sumbeam folkes?

Shucks, we're not only hot air ballooning but also racing. SWMS had a two day event last weekend in Albuquerque at Sandian Motor Speedways 1.65 mile long 14 turn road course. Great weather in the 70-80s both days.

SCCA has a 2 day regional this coming weekend at same track, shortened to 1 mile and 8 turns since SCCA insurance has concerns with the KWall around much of the North half. Weather will be 20-30 degrees cooler.

Hopefully, my under used for 20 years GT2 Tiger will be on track next April when we return to racing activities. Guess we better get the skis out as termination dust is showing it's beautiful color on the peaks of Northern NM. Ski Taos!
