Where are all the hard core Lotusphiles?!?!

Well, you know... everything has it's price!!!

Naw, you know what, it's tons more fun than the Lotus, and it took me years to find a good one. I am just about to put the BDA back together ( long story ) and should have it up and running again this winter.

They are a pretty cool car..

We had a MkI Lotus for a few years, but sold it. Front-end chassis needed more work than I was willing to do at the time.... I'm a dummy, I'ma dummy, I'madummy! Miss that car a lot.

Saw a Lotus Cortina at a junkyard a couple weeks ago. It was sitting on top of a schoolbus. The upper end of the engine is gone, but other than that looked to be in decent shape. Restorable, at least.
But, the owner has absolutely NO intentions of selling it.
I thought maybe I had scored a goodie for a minute!
Jeff

Similar experience a few years back: Followed a "scrap wallah" truck with a Lotus Cortina MkI in top of an old chevy. Got to the "yard" and the guy delivering said I'd need to see "the Boss".... He was a COMPLETE jerk. "No way, no how." would he sell that car, it was destined for the crusher and that's where he would make sure it went... No appeal, no reprieve

Morons, the lot. Hope they rot in Hades.
