Yeah, when would they find the time to sign off with the National Anthem today? How about starin at the test pattern (What's a test patern gramps?) waiting for broadcasts to begin?
 
I remember seeing one similar in the seventies, but mostly just the colored bars right after the national anthem.

A friend of mine (Brian Forester),played Chris on
that show.He attended College here.
I can still remember some of those shows
"Happy trails to you",& "From out of the Blue...
...it's Sky King" both come to mind.
For you Doc - "Write'n fan letters to Sky's Niece-
- Penny".
