Years ago, when I worked at Borders, I was standing out front of the building having a smoke break with my friend Dave. Lovely spring day. Now, the store was next to a fairly busy road, accidents were somewhat frequent, lots of truck traffic. So we're standing there talking when Dave says "Is that a lot of tow trucks?" Sure enough, there was a line of tow trucks coming up the road, going kind of slowly. "Must be a bad accident<" I say. We watch. More trucks-we're up to like a dozen now. "Are those flags on the hoods of the trucks?" Dave asks. "Looks like those flags they put on a funeral procession," I reply. We both agree that it couldn't be....
Till the last truck rumbles past. It's a flatbed, with a purple metalflake coffin (with ghost flames!) strapped to the back. Totally true story.
