Hoping to start an ongoing thread here. Mostly the Spotted forum is LBC's or unusual cars. This is for more mundane cars. I am specifically wondering what cars you are seeing that make you think, "I can't think when I last saw one of those." Pictures are nice but not necessary, however, you actually have to have seen it and not just thought about it. Any interest?

exactly. Today I saw a 1st generation Mercury Tracer Coupe. This is a pic I pulled off the net. I had forgotten they existed

An Avanti! I always thought that was a cool car way ahead of it's time... though they are starting to appear rather dated to me now.

Yesterday, driving to my daughter's house for dinner, we saw a mid-70 Ranchero.

And yesterday, while driving out of my community college, I saw a young kid driving out of one of the student parking lots in a new-style Bentley convertible. It was black and covered with road salt. As it drove passed, I check and it had one of our student parking stickers.

MSRP is $236,100. (I checked)
Gee...I wonder what he would drive if he was going to Harvard? :wink-new:

Yesterday, after the snow, red alfa milano - a wonder it didn't dissolve beofre my very eyes with the salt on the roads.

2 weeks ago I saw a little old lady in an 80's Ford Escort. You don't see those much anymore. Not around here anyway. (the car not the little old lady)

Two mundane cars I'm hoping to catch a glimpse of, just one more time out in the wild; an Eagle Talon TSI and a Chevy Chevette...

I actually see Chevettes on a semi regular basis. Incuding the guy who, all summer, shows up to cruise nite in his restored diesel Chevette! ( possibly the rarest car there)

Never seen another 1994 Jaguar XJS v12 coupe.

Yesterday on a car lot in a really "off the beaten path" area, a 1966 Mercury Comet. Black.

May go back just to inquire.

We had one of those (not sure the year) when I was growing up. Called it the "black comet car." I remember that it was quite rusty, and this would have been in the early seventies so it wasn't that old.

1980 (?) Mercedes-Benz 300TD (turbo diesel). Very cool classic sedan (not a wagon). See it about once a week in the Willimantic CT area. Similar to this:

Studebaker Lark, 65 TBird, Ukn yr AMC's answer to SuperSport, 65 Fairlane or Merc HP car(couldn't tell which/no badges) all on Saturday

1988 Toyota Corolla wagon - we actually owned one, they didn't offer them long and they always seemed confused with the all wheel drive car of the same name - but different shape.

Last week we were in Honolulu and we saw this Land Cruiser near Pearl Harbor.

Later, we walked past the Ferrari store. They had an (apparently) actual F1 car in the window

Otherwise most of the cars, were the type of appalling rental cars you'd expect (but we still had a nice time).

Did ya get to visit Duke's eatery?!?

Looks like you were within walkin' distance in that photo.

I saw a Ferrari 328 when we were on the Big Island.Kind of a waste,as there's
almost nowhere that you can legally drive one at speed.

Saw an Early 80s Oldsmobile Toronado driving around, rough but serviceable, ugly thing with the bodywork sort of gumming it down over where a grill would usually go. And a Fiat 850 Spider parked, and looking like it was a non-runner by the side of an old house in Lincoln, NE.
