When a tricky marketing goes wrong.

Well, I'll just comment one more time and then it's done. It all depends on how you look at it. Most police departments are under staffed, some very under staffed. Most police departments have numerous cases that are unsolved. I look at it this way, the tax payers money could be spent more wisely by devoting more time chasing crooks, murders, rapists, drunks on the highway and child molesters than devoting that time trying to stop the worlds oldest profession. Which, will never happen. If they happen to arrive on a situation like this, then thats another story, but to provoke it is wasting money. I am an avid supporter of the police. Two of my best friends are retired state troopers and I am friends with many more through them. I just don't agree on how some of the money is spent.
All I’m saying is your Prostitution example isn’t the least bit equitable to this thread.

That said - If you’ve got a problem with prostitution being illegal, you can move to Nevada or change the laws where you live so it can be regulated.

But lets forget about the Johns for a moment – to say prostitution is a victimless crime is ignoring the facts. There are physical health consequences of women entering this profession are vast. Many studies have shown that over 50% will see some sort of physical injuries committed by their “innocent” purchasers, while almost 90% will see violence in their personal relationships (Pimps). With well over 20% of these assaulted where beaten so severely that they suffered broken bones, miscarriages, loss of consciousness and even head injuries that’ve resulted in comas.

Then there’s the STDs like HIV/AIDS, Chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, human papilloma virus, and syphilis. Nothing says I love you like bringing home a little something extra to share with you’re special someone waiting for you back home.

All of that and we haven’t even addressed the rampant drug use and criminal elements that accompanies prostitution wherever it goes. So in many ways cracking down on prostitution is addressing the criminals you’d prefer your police go after. Nope: there is nothing in the world that will ever convince me that prostitution is a victimless crime.

Ok Basil feel free to lock this thread down now, as we’ve totally gone off topic of the original thread.
