What is the width of wheel that would have originally fitted to my BJ8?
i see the parts dealers are selling 15 x 5 and 15 x 5.5.

If I fit the 5.5, will they extend past the arches?

i know a guy that is selling 5.5s but they are off an MGC. Does anyone know if they will fit?

Original wheels had 4.5" wheel widths

5.5" wheels will extend out side the wheel arches a wee bit

MGC wheels will fit the BJ8 However, make sure the chrome is good and they are true with ss spokes repairing a wheel is lots of $$$

I was too late. The wheels are sold!
looks like I will end up buying a new set when the time comes. What width is the popular choice when buying new replacement wheels? Do you tend to stick with the 4.5s or is 5 a better choice? As Keoke kindly pointed out, looks like the 5.5s will be slightly too wide.
