Wheel studs

It appears that the smaller axel studs are all that Moss and Vicki B carry for Austin Healey. I have a 59 100-6 and must replace some rear studs, using the disk wheels. Does anyone know if the smaller wire wheel studs will work on disk wheels?

Bluemg, the smaller wire wheel studs will not work with solid disk wheels.-Fwiw---Keoke

Since the smaller wire wheel studs will not work on the 100-6 disk wheels, and moss and vicki B do not sell the longer studs, who handles them?

Hi Blue,
Disc wheels are usually not very common on these cars. I think that the "real rally" racers use them a lot. Cape International lists studs for BN4 - BN6 front wheels as part # 1G7435. You might give them an email & see what they have. It is likely that there is a fairly standard stud that would work. I just don't know anything about disc wheels on these cars & what size stud is needed.

If you are desperate try also SC Parts in the UK, they at least have them in their catalogue, but that does not mean that they have any. Their catalogue is a complete strip down of all cars but some parts are not available.:- enquiries@scparts.co.uk

OK, the studs for disc wheels are as rare as hen's teeth. I have quickly checked with both SC Parts and AH Spares, neither do them at the moment, but there is good news, AH Spares have been in discussions with a supplier and have a sample, they are currently negotiating costs. I am advised that they could be on the shelf in about six weeks if all goes well. I hope that you did not want to drive the car in a hurry. So if you are in trouble on your side of the pond, give them a try just into the new year, they are nice people.

Bluemg;
You might give Sports & Classics , Healey Surgeons ,British Car Specialties or Healey Haven a call.-FWIW---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif

The disc wheel stud is 3 inches long, same dia. and thread as the WW studs.
Thanks all for your reply I'm starting to run down some of them now.
