Wheel cylinder fitting kit - any tips?

I'm trying to re-fit the wheel cylinders on my 64 tr-4. I'm using the moss wheel cylinder fitting kit and having a hard time getting third clip in place without it bending. Anybody have a trick to getting these buggers in place?

thanks,
Greg

Not much help on this end, Greg, but just wanted to say you have to have the award for longest membership without posting!

You might try ~squeezing~ the cylinder in place with vise grips or a c-clamp to expose the recessed area for the clip.

Welcome!

Welcome- always glad to have another TR4 owner in here.

This came up recently and I didn't have a good link. Still don't have a perfect one, but take a look at this discussion:

Wheel Cylinder install

In the picture you will see three of the locking plate parts labeled A, B, C. The trick is to install A and B first, then drive in C in between the two installed parts. So that little clip labeled B is not the last piece to go in. No bending, once you get the hang of it you'll find it easy I think.
