Texas is getting hurricane drenched, that I know.

Here on the island, we have 75*F and major flooding
from a mini-hurricane. Very happy we were in the Jeep
when the storm struck just before noon.

What's it doing in BCF land?

greetings,

tinster

Yesterday we had over 3" of rain. Today was clear but still somewhat humid and highs in the 80's. Once and a while it looks like it might rain, but none today so far. But threatening enough that I did not take the TR3B to work at the museum today.

S.E Florida is NICE (if a tad humid!) 88* and sunny with puffy clouds! (no rain for the past couple of PMs either!!)...BUT...work is non-existent!! :wall:

This morning in eastern Connecticut - heavy rain, sun, showers, sun, breeze, calm and humid, gusts up to 35mph, showers, mist.

After lunch - light rain, broken clouds, downpour, strong winds, clearing, and now (8:04:15pm) calm, cloudy and humid.

Yankee philosophy: it's quite all right to enjoy yourself, as long as you regret it later.

92-degrees here today.

I cut my grass Monday & it immediately rained all evening & night....then rained most of the day Tuesday.

Now I've gotta cut again tomorrow! Stuff just spurts out of the ground after a rain.

That's hot for me, but that's old news. Been around 90 here, was up around 95 the other day. And to contrast, I've got a ton of work and don't know how I'm going to get it done. Those nice puffy clouds are holding me up. I've got winter-time work flowing in the middle of the summer...unheard of stuff, I've got to photograph almost all of the keys from Key West to Key Largo, a bunch of Miami, Ft Lauderdale for the FAA. I just did a bunch of Tampa work, a marine/tidal study for Charlotte County FL, and I'm watching the tides for another one south of Cape Canaveral.

Whew.

I decorated the airplane a little to make me feel a little cooler - it does say "Bar Harbor" on it

High of 72 today. Currently 66. 100% Humidity but no rain yet. Makes for lousy painting weather so I did some wiring instead. Got part of the harness built with much more to do.

Today is mid-80's and low humidity. The humidity and temps are supposed to rise Saturday for the Macungie Toy Show. It is a week earlier than Das Awkscht Fescht this year but it is then on the park grounds instead of a nearby field. It will be interesting to see how it does as a separate show.

Scott! I'm just a few hundred yards away from Vandenberg airport. Any time ya get bored flyin' around Tampa ya could drop in.

I was there the other day, sorta.

We try not to land, except at home. I've had some 5 hour days sitting in the back seat of that thing - but if we stop I'll keep you in mind

Scott - you mean you don't get to drive?

Heck no. I used to do that all the time to build time, I just don't care anymore. We hit about 1000ft and I jump in the back, pull the curtains, and work on the 'puter.

Work... actually, I have a pretty awesome tank simulator I run when I get bored. It's kinda freaky trying to zero in on a Russian T34 when the airplane is bouncing all over the place. That's as close to getting truly disoriented as I've ever become

That's Davis Island, innit? Peter O.

A cousin (now deceased) had a rotor-wing service and "school" out there. Used to go up over "downtown" Tampa for photo shoots with him.
