Kingston Trio: Last Month of the Year
Pete Seeger: Traditional Christmas Carols

Lots of happy memories of putting up the tree on Christmas eve, listening to these albums with the family. Also the original Boris Karloff record of "How the Grinch stole Christmas." Good stuff.

This year I've been listening to Charlotte Church's Dream a Dream album. Magnificent.

And I have to admit, I always listen to ~THIS~ at Christmas too.

And related to the two above, I happen to like ~THIS VERSION~ partly because of the unusual combo of singers.

Now she has John Denver and the muppets christmas on

Have to join Basil on Mannheim Steamroller. Really enjoyed them in concert this year. Also James Taylor at Christmas and A Fab Four Christmas. Plus a number of the local artist Christmas CDs such as the Lehigh Valley Christmas collection.

My fave Xmas music may be Handel's "Messiah". Learned it by heart when singing in high school choir.

Performed by the Berlin or Vienna philharmonic (must be a German performance!) with a big choir, there's nothing like it to me.

Handel was a genius and inspired both Mozart and Beethoven.

The Messiah is incomparable and an integral part of Christmas, I think. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/angel.gif

Who's Next

The Who

Never really liked X-mas music (I know bah humbug)

I do like X-mas though,

I've got a Luciano Pavarotti Christmas CD that I enjoy lisenting to.

And how about those snowflakes fallin' on the forum. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Always a crowd pleaser. Been a few years since I’ve seen ‘em in concert, last time I went was a X-mas show...
