What's Your Daily Driver?

So, including the Tiger, no cars with a roof or a back seat.

We're pretty close to this ourselves (both Jenny and I drive Jeep Wranglers). The only car we own with a non-removeable roof is the MGB GT.

Depending on who is going to be in the car, what's being done and need for 4 Wheel drive, it would be a 2004 GMC Envoy or the 2005 Lexus SC 430. As I only take husband to work via a trip to the airport 4 times a month, there really isn't a daily driver. That being said the to town trips are usually made by the Envoy or the Lexus. All other cars are simply fun cars. Yeh, yeh I know - autophiles we are. Waiting on Doug to get his resto finished on his '50 Dodge Pilothouse truck. If I knew how to post photos, I would but alas I haven't mastered it yet. Just need to take the time to make the attempt.

I drive a 2011 535i that I have only managed to put 39,000 miles on. In the good ole days I'd do that in 2 years. I expect this car to last a good 10 years before I think about getting another. Now my husband is another story. He drives what we refer to as "New Blue" which is a 2005 Jeep that I really had to beg him to get when "old blue" was on the verge of dying in our driveway after 17 years of use. Some of you may know he is not a car person and his commute is only a few miles from home.
Up till recently I'd pull one of my LBC's out for exercise during the week but traffic here in Mt P has gotten so bad with all the growth that it is not much fun anymore. I think Don brought a bunch of people here when he relocated.
Hope all are getting ready for a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season.

Many Happy Miles to All,
Irene

I have a '92 Miata that I bought in '99 that was my daily driver for almost ten years. That means even in snow, but four inches of the white stuff was about all the little Miata can handle. The I had a '96 Saturn for a few years, and am currently driving an '07 Mazda RX-8. I still have the Miata, which I supercharged shortly after I got it. It's now relegated to light weekend duty. Of course, at the end of the year, all my cars will be relegated to light duty, as I will be retiring. :fat:

Retiring! Yeehaa - congratulations!

As my co-workers told me when I retired: "Congrats - you survived! Now go do what you want to do."

and that included "old cars"

Just my entourage !

My wife is my daily driver. Drives me crazy, drives me to drink :jester:

2010 Kia Soul, and SWMBO drive a 2002 Beetle - Love the Soul - lots of room, great gas mileage and great sitting position (besides, now no-one can say I haven't got one - a soul that is) the Beetle is getting old and SWMBO is making Fiat 500 noises - though we just poured a ton O cash into the VW so, I hope not too soon. Our claim to fame is all our cars are stick.

94 geo metro with 12 in rims wrapped in hankook studded winter tires. No power steering, no power windows, locks, or mirrors, and a stick shift. Bare bones the way I enjoy cars. My wife told me she couldn't drive stick. I told her she had a long enough driveway and a work didn't start until the next day. She puts 500 plus miles a week on cars so she picked up pretty fast. You should see her smile when people ask if she really drives such a little bare car.
Now if I can only cannibalize my other two geo heads to get one solid head to swap out the one in our daily.
Then We would have all three cylinders instead of two plus one with burnt valves. :sour: This was to be the "save money run well" car so I could bet the B thrown together....
