Just got this car home today and took a quick look at the engine compartment and noticed this wire that's off behind the battery. My Volvo had Bosch PI systems and I remember a wire that was loose with a terminal attached that was for testing the system. If you look closely just to the right a little there is another black broken wire that goes to ground. Couldn't find a connection for ether one. Now the car does not run and there is no relays under the hood that can be heard clicking when trying to start the car. Nether can the fuel pump be heard running. Any ideas?

No idea what that wire is. Is the wire itself black, or is that just a sheath over it?

I believe the FI TR7 needs oil pressure before turning on the fuel pump, but I'm not certain.

If you plan on retaining the FI, your best friend will be a wiring diagram from a shop manual. FI TR7s are rare birds east of Cali. I have seen less than 5 over the last 25 years and non of them were running.

My Haynes manual has a wiring diagram for the car and the PI system but nothing else on the PI system. Looks like the ECU controls the pump relay? Measure the voltage on both sides of all of the fuses. I have had many connection problems in the fuse box. If you are interested I could try to scan the diagrams and send to you.
