I've traveled the world over in some highly sensitive positions, most dealing with either teaching or supporting indigenous peoples...in those positions, one always works to gain their confidence...that means understanding their culture & living as they live...including eating what they eat.
So, in Germany, I ate Gebackenes Euter (you don't want to know), on an island in the middle of the Bering Strait I ate seal brain fritters, on one of the northern Japanese islands, seal flippers, in Belgium, raw horse meat, & in Korea stuff that even I don't want to know (going back for the month of December)....but, there aren't many free ranging dogs or cats in that country!
