T-Series What's the easiest way to replace TD grille slats?

I'd like to fix and/or replace my grille insert which contain the vertical slats. Before I go ahead and rip my TD apart, I'd like some seasoned suggestions on how to approach the task.

I've got one loose grile slat. I could do a short-cut, like fix it in place with JB Weld, but I'd rather replace the whole section, if the replacement from Moss is indeed worth fitting. I'm also going to change the color, which should probably steer things toward removal and replacement.

Thank you very much in advance,

Matt

No easy way...when you take the nuts off the studs holding the slat assembly to the radiator shell to remove the loose slat (or to pop rivet it back in place), the stud WILL break...that's okay, I have extra new studs left over from just redoing mine....I just epoxied new studs in place.

They don't always break. I removed mine without any problem. Just take your time and use penetrating oil if necessary.

Lemme rephrase that - most of mine broke, a couple didn't - but, then, mine had never been apart....point I was making is, don't get all upset when they do break...just grind off what's left until you've got a smooth surface & epoxy on new ones.
