What's needed for the 1275 swap

[ QUOTE ]
they were commonly referred to as "Web Cages".

They DO look more like a web, don't they?

You need to look for a donor car or 2, you,ll get into this deal a lot cheaper and have some swapping material. You'll learn more about spridgets after salvageing a couple rusted cars. Also go to any local swap meets, because I found a good motor there for my bugeye. Lastly, start lookin for a datsun 5 speed,( Rivergate'l give you the info) and buy it now if the price is low, because you'll want it later and they are getting hard to find. Then if insanity strikes, we'll talk about a supercharger!!!!!!!!!! Good luck.

Now I just need to convince my wife that a rusty parts car in the back yard is a good thing. That might be difficult...

I would definately go with the rusty parts car, THAT RUNS!.

Tell her it makes great fertilizer. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Drew, did you check the classifieds in here? Thought I saw one for 750 on the east coast....
Sorry, East TN.

If I had a decent car cover, I'm pretty sure I could convince her that it would be out of sight and not an eyesore. I just need to be ready to strip it out and get rid of the bits I don't need quickly. I'm hoping to have the funding ready by spring (winter is usually my busiest gigging time). There's a large enough LBC community here in Utah that I should be able to dig something up local or at least within a day's drive.

Some 2x4s and a nice green tarp from the hardware would do the trick. Do not let tarp touch the car and block it off the ground.
