Hello all, it's been several years since I've posted on here. I do check in from time to time to see how my old friends are doing but mostly just lurk about once every couple of months. I'm still driving my 76 Midget around, just about every day. I've done pretty well keeping her running as a daily driver. At any rate, I've a chance to purchase a 74 from a co-worker who is retiring. I like the RWA chrome bumper cars a little more than my 76. I was hoping to get some advice on what you guys think it might be worth. Here are the details, he was having a problem with the dual SU's so he put a Weber downdraft on 4 years ago and never started it back up. He still has the original SU's. He has pulled the rear brake lines off due to some cracking and the car has sit on rear jack stands, flat front tires in his garage for the past 4 years. The 1275 isn't locked up, it rotates by had. The interior is a wreck, usual 37 year old car problems. Dash is severly cracked, no steering shaft cowl. Wires that would make a better birds nest than car electrical hanging down from everywhere. The real show stopper is the body, I can see rust bubbles in the A pillars, at the bottom of the fenders, and on the leading edge of the hood. The boot lid has rust on the edge where a luggage rack is bolted and the rear quarters and back valance appears to be made of 1" bondo with krylon white over it. I can handle the body work, wasn't wanting to but can do it. He thinks it's worth about 1500 dollars as it sits. I think it's worth around 500, what do you guys think? Sorry for the long post, just wanted to paint an accurate description.
Thanks,
JC
