The church held an auction a few weeks ago, and I offered a Cajun dinner.

So: crawfish, corn and potato soup; spinach salad with shaved almonds and poppy seed dressing; chicken and andouille jambalaya; bread pudding with whiskey sauce. I'm doing the jambalaya and the whiskey sauce; Janet's in charge of the rest.

DANG, we're good! :smirk:

Impressive Mickey! I'm throwing together whatever I have lying around and can do quickly -- have to replace the battery in my Honda after work and have an early rehearsal so not much time for creativity.

You need to live closer, I'd bid on that dinner!

Drew- Go to Mickey's house for dinner :jester:

Goulash... Probably make some garlic toast to go with it.

what? what? did someone say ...

BREAD PUDDING WITH WHISKEY SAUCE

?????

Be still my pounding heart!

Ribeyes with onion and mushroom topping, baked potatoes. I had to get off my low fat diet just a little.

Mickey, we are planning a fried oyster poboy party at my son's shotgun in the Irish Channel in December. Will fry the oysters in the back patio and have lots of artists and jewelers over from the New Orleans art scene over. Everyone will fit on the new raised two-level deck we built. Nice mixture of the New Orleans underground. Kinda cool. Wanna come?

Damm you, Bill!!!

I'm contemplatin' a rental-car trip just to "bust th' gate"!!!!

As it is just me tonight, I had some clam chowder with saltines. But, the best part of the meal was what I just finished making for Turkey Day - an orange, cranberry and crystalized ginger relish. It is so good I think I'll make a few batches to freeze when I can't get real cranberries. Real easy and healthy.

I just down'd a matched set o' bacon an' mozzarella sammiges.

...with some Capt'n Morgan to round it out.

Th' "Pre-pre midnight snack"... Me an' Merlyn are eyein' a tin o' kippers fer th' "main event".

Muhaahaaaaaa...
