Good Friday dinner: yours truly cooked a few Yorkshire
cut lamb chops-seared in caramelized onion/garlic glaze.
Sides of smashed swedes and carrots with English curry,
cauliflower, mint jelly, merlot for the Mrs and cranberry
juice for the old guy. We had an orange colored "guest"
join us at the table!

Buuurrrrrppppp !!!! fine vittles.

Kettle dinner (pot roast) of beef, carrots, potatoes, winter savory, bay leaf, tomatoes and some merlot. Simple egg custard for dessert.

Priceless!

We have been away in Chile, but for Easter, we will have:

Homemade ravioi, baked ziti, sweet and hot Italian sausage, ham, and tres leches for desert!

Buona Pascua to all our TR friends. :savewave:

I was on the road and had a bag of Peanut MnM's. Twas yummy!

Spaghetti with a nice fresh salad & some good soft garlic bread for dinner last night. Then, homemade biscuits & brown pepper gravey with a side of bacon for breakfast.

Tom,

How could you tell. Peg has graciously added this to the menu this year just for me. It is fun to be spoiled.

Now to go get the new elliptical built in the basement to get ready to work the pudding back off.

The Mrs is from Yorkshire, England.
Gluttonous memories of me first Yorkshire Puddin'.

In general, Brit grub ain't nuthin' to brag about.........
but Yorkshire puddin's are to die for!!! :yesnod:

Just the usual Sunday dinner here. Easter for me isn't till Apr.27th!

Hey Mike - here's some ideas for April 27:

Arni sti Souvla: Spit-roasted whole lamb, slow roasted all morning.
Kotopoulo Lemonato sti Skhara: Grilled lemon chicken
Patates Fournou: Roasted potatoes with lemon, orange, and oregano
Spanakotyropita: Spinach pie with cheese (I could eat tons of this)
Maroulosalata: Cos (Romaine) lettuce with dill and spring onions
Beer, wine, water

Finish it off with STRONG coffee and ...

Tsoureki (aka Lambropsomo): Easter bread
Kalitsounia Kritis: Cretan sweet cheese pastries
Galaktoboureko: Custard-filled phyllo pastry
Koulourakia: Butter cookies

Last orthodox Easter I enjoyed, I danced with the priest's wife. Had a blast!

Xristos anesti! Kalo Pashcha!

T.

Alithos anesti, T! That's a good menu but you forgot the vasilopita for desert!
